another (virtual) absolute (ideal diode) circuit

the Fig.10 from http://sound.whsites.net/appnotes/an001.htm yielded the best result in simulation - so far - of what i have tested (*)

!!! but it may be due false/ideal/simplified behavior of the Ge 1N34A ((the Russian analogs i have are capable of ?something? 40MHz)) -- using the Si 1N4148 makes the picture a lot more poor !!!

Ideal-Diode_EF0170.png _/¯\_/¯_/¯ the "drift-delay" stands for the time that it takes for the output to catch up with the input after each zero crossing (*)
